Disney Inks Major Deal for MG trilogy from Julie Kagawa

In a major six-figure deal, Kieran Viola at Disney Hyperion has bought, in an exclusive submission, bestselling author Julie Kagawa’s THE STORM DRAGON SAGA, a middle grade fantasy trilogy set in a world of floating islands where only the rich own dragons, until a poor boy named Remy finds an orphaned baby dragon and becomes the focus of a mission to save his realm from destruction. Laurie McLean at Fuse Literary brokered the deal for World English rights. The first book is slated to be available in 2024.
