Aimee Boorman is one of the most celebrated coaches in modern gymnastics, best known for coaching legendary US Olympian and multi-year world champion Simone Biles for twelve years, from the age of eight. Boorman was the head coach of the gold medal-winning United States women’s gymnastics team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
A vocal advocate for her students, she was the only coach to appear in the HBO documentary At the Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal.
Born and raised in Chicago by a single mother, Boorman now lives in Florida with her husband and three children. She is at work on a memoir about her time as a coach.
