Lorrie Kim

Lorrie Kim writes pop-culture and literary criticism, often with a focus on intersectional feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, and inclusive literature. She is a columnist for MuggleNet, a frequent speaker at Harry Potter academic conferences, and a regular contributor to fandom podcasts. As an editor, writer, and sensitivity reader, Lorrie has worked on novels, nonfiction books ranging from figure skating to crafting, and English translations of Korean media. She lives in Philadelphia, PA with her clever, grumpy, magical spouse and their Harry Potter-reading offspring, one born between Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince and one in gestation during the publication of Deathly Hallows.
