Rachel Mans McKenny is a writer from the Midwest. She was a graduate of the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts and a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and studied creative writing at Creighton University. She has published widely, with recent publications including The Rumpus, Electric Literature, Scary Mommy, and forthcoming in The New York Times. She teaches public speaking and composition at Iowa State University, reads voraciously, and is a parent to three young children.
