Rebecca Pierce is a writer and filmmaker from the San Francisco Bay Area. Her multimedia storytelling work covers a diverse range of topics including global conflict, prisons, refugees, gender violence, and environmental justice.
Rebecca is a 2019-2020 Affiliate Fellow at Harvard Divinity School’s Religion, Conflict, and Peace Initiative and an alumna of UC Santa Cruz’s Film and Digital Media program. She also co-edits the Unruly Blog, a Jews of Color-run publication connecting social justice struggles from the US to Israel and Palestine. She’s been listed as one of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s “50 Jews to Follow on Twitter” and named one of “40 Women to Watch” by The Tempest Magazine.
Her writing has been featured in Jewish Currents, The Nation, The Jewish Daily Forward, +972, and produced onstage by San Francisco’s premier sketch comedy troupe, Killing My Lobster.
