O. Henry Prize winner Allison Alsup has signed with Keylight Books to publish her debut literary novel, Foreign Seed. Inspired by a true story set in China as the US gets involved in WWI, it follows newly minted Vice Consul Samuel Sokobin’s search for botanical explorer Frank Meyer (of Meyer Lemon fame) after he vanishes from a steamship on the Yangtze River. Hardcover publication is set for August 2024.
