Simon & Schuster Canada has picked up another thriller in the vein of Lucy Foley and Karen Hamilton from Amber Cowie, author of Last One Alive. Her forthcoming novel, The Off Season, takes us to a hunting lodge in rural British Columbia, where a newly blended family moves in to be caretakers while it is closed for the winter. Publication is scheduled for February of 2024.
