Erica Wright’s essay collection Snake (Bloomsbury) was one of LitReactor’s 2020 Best Books of the Year. Her latest novel Famous in Cedarville (Polis) received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. She is also the author of three previous novels including The Red Chameleon (Pegasus), which was one of O, The Oprah Magazine‘s 2014 Best Books of Summer. Her poetry collections are All the Bayou Stories End with Drowned (Black Lawrence Press) and Instructions for Killing the Jackal (Black Lawrence Press). She was the senior poetry editor at Guernica Magazine for more than a decade. Currently, she teaches at Bellevue University and lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with her family.
