December Query Closure and Other True Stories

November 17, 2014

Have you submitted to us? We’ve had quite an influx since the launch of Fuse, and we’re getting ready to close to new queries for the month of December while we

And maybe eat some pie with our families.

If you’ve already submitted and haven’t heard back yet, no need to send it again. You’re in the queue. The rest of you, get your subs in by the end of the month! Or wait until January if you need that time to make it just right! Seriously! Revise! Exclamation marks!

Big news for those of you participating in (or thinking about) National Nonfiction Writing Month (or NaNonFiWriMo, as the cool kids say). Since we’re halfway through the November Challenge, we’ve halved the price of The Write Nonfiction Now Guide to Writing a Book in 30 Days. From now until the end of November, you can buy this first in a series on Amazon for $1.50. I’m honestly reconsidering that because it’s already been sitting in the Amazon Top 100 in Authorship for a while now. Pick it up before I realize what a horrible mistake I made.

Also, just a reminder that all of our Short Fuse Guides are FREE through the end of the year, so pick up a copy here before the prices go up to a whopping 99 cents (Amazon’s minimum price). As of last week, we have two new guides covering contracts and rights, which every writer should know before they pursue publication. And if you’re participating in NaNoWriMo (and subsequently NaNoEditYear), you should get a lot of mileage out of our guide to plot.

Lots more to come. Stay tuned for news about our second annual Hot Holiday Reads anthology, the title contest, and where you can get a copy.

And get those submissions in!
