Executive Editor of Heavy Metal Magazine and former editor for DC, Joseph Illidge, has launched Illuminous. The production and publishing company will work alongside Color Farm Media and G-Unit Film & Television on the forthcoming live-action film adaptation of Christopher Priest’s DC comic Xerø. The film follows a Black government assassin who weaponizes invisibility by disguising himself as a white man to blend anonymously into the exotic haunts of the international elite. Illidge describes Xerø as “the perfect action hero for our times in a story that is equal parts James Bond and James Baldwin.” The project reunites Priest and Illidge, who worked together on Batman at DC.
Illidge’s graphic novel, MPLS SOUND, is now in its second printing from Humanoids.
