In today’s Publishers Marketplace Deal of the Day, Nicole Luongo at Park Row Books and Jennifer Lambert at HarperCollins Canada pre-empted world English rights to Mansi Shah’s A Good Indian Girl in a two-book, six-figure deal. The novel, pitched as One Italian Summer meets Balli Kaur Jaswal, follows a disgraced Indian-American divorcee and former chef who spends a summer in Italy, reconnecting with her passion for cooking and reckoning with cultural expectations when she is faced with a life-changing decision. Publication is set for August/September 2024. Congrats, Mansi!
