Call for submissions: Hot Holiday Reads #3

September 21, 2015

It’s that time again.

Time to post a shirtless, muscular Santa taken from a site called “Worst Holiday Stock Photos.”

Seriously. But it’s for a good cause.

Here at Short Fuse Publishing, we’re opening up to submissions for our annual Hot Holiday Reads anthology. And like our Santa, we’ve added a little gift this year. Since we’re all about the Season of Giving, we’re making the anthology a charity drive, donating 100% of the profits to the UNHCR, the UN agency leading and coordinating international action to protect Syrian refugees. We’re also offering a pay-what-you-can option, so you can donate as little or as much as you’re able to. Other special goodies to come.

OK, writers, here are the details. We’re asking for non-exclusive rights to your story, so you’re 100% free to publish it elsewhere if you’d like. If your story is accepted, you will receive a single, up-front payment of $10, which you can choose to have donated to the UNHCR. There is no fee to submit. Stories of all lengths will be considered, but those between 5,000 and 8,000 words are preferred. Winter-holiday-themed romance only, with higher heat levels preferred. If you have any questions, leave a comment here so everyone can benefit.

To submit, email your story in Word format (.doc) to shortfuse(at)fuseliterary(dot)com. Editing the anthology this year is Fuse Literary client and erotica author, Bethany Hyde! You can read her work on Wattpad and in last year’s anthology, Christmas Nookies.

Submissions close on Halloween, and the anthology will be released in all major ebook formats in December!
